Statement of George Crowell

We all owe a debt of gratitude to the movement for 9/11 truth in which our colleague, Dr. David Ray Griffin, has played a key role.  Careful consideration of the evidence the movement has amassed makes clear the high probability, indeed the virtual certainty, that the official explanation is not only flawed, but false.  Acknowledging this evidence leads to the only feasible alternative: recognition of extreme malfeasance at the highest levels of the U.S. government, and among wealthy elites in the U.S. and beyond.  An independent public investigation with subpoena power is necessary to confirm this conclusion, and to bring to public awareness the enormous abuses of power rampant in U.S. institutions—notably the military-industrial complex, the intelligence organizations, and the financial system.  Even without taking 9/11 into consideration, much history reveals that such abuses have had devastating global reach for many decades.  9/11 truth, fully exposed through an independent investigation, could give people in the U.S. and around the world leverage to bring abusive institutions under democratic control, helping us to move toward creation of the viable world order we need in order to live in harmony with each other and with our environment.
